Saying goodbye to Sarah

Our student Sarah has been with us two days a week for three years during her teacher training.  Now that is complete she is leaving us to get a REAL (paid) teaching job.  Sarah, thank you for your contributions to our kindergarten ... and all the best for the future.

Our first Herman the German

There was great excitement as Tanya and the children prepared Herman the German for baking. There are so many flavours to be had ... we decided to have apple in our cake. After a long wait for it to come out of the oven it was cut ready for everyone to take a piece home complete with the QR code instructions on how to make a Herman the German.

Transporting the worm wee

With summer fast approaching ... and gardens being planted our worm wee has been in high demand. Mason and Dylan transported the freshly bootled wee to the top of the hill in the trolley. It's always good to have great help!!

Process cooking

We often use this book to do process cooking whereby the children make individual mixtures from the recipes to make their own product ... in this case ... cheese puffs.

Starting our creative wood designs with Steve

We feel lucky to be able to work with Steve, our rustic wood creative designer once again. Having accessed some logs it was time to think of some designs. The children took to their clipboards and pens to present Steve with some ideas. Some creative designs for outdoor seats emerged. You will have to watch this space to see how they develop.

The children learn a little about sawing with Steve

"We're making icecream, chocolate icecream"

Process cooking -making individual scones

2tbsp flour, a cube of butter, a spoonful of cheese, a little milk, mix, pop in a greased patty pan, write your name in the maths grid, cook for 10 minutes or so @ 400. YUM! I did it all myself
