Following the life cycle of a frog

No matter what I do this picture keeps going in sideways!!!
The interest in the life cycle of the frog has been intense as we have watched the tadpoles morph into frogs. Connor (green and black picture) and Chloe (green picture) represented the changes in ths way. Well done guys.

Raising awareness of asthma

Now this requires some perceptual motor skills

It must be summer ... lots of water play

Writing letters to Santa

A very special moment

Over the past couple of years we have been treated to the fabulous creativeness of Ben and Olivia. What great role models you have been to the other children. Time and again you have inspired children to become involved in music and dance. On Ben's last day we were threated to this wonderful show. This is the abridged version. You are going to be missed ... but Willowbank School is so lucky to be getting you.

Kerry's stolen car

It was a gobsmacking moment when we left a restaurant after a committee dinner to find that where kerry's car had once been there was just a pile of glass! The next morning the children listened intently as Kerry related the story to them. Where was her car we wondered? Kerry produced a photo of her car and the number plate, and the children all vowed to keep their eyes peeled for a sighting of her car. In the meantime Ashton produced a replica out of material and stuffing. Fortunately Kerry's car was found just a few days later ... just a little worse for wear! Now she has a fancy new car alarm so the robbers (or bad men as Jacob calls them) may think twice before deciding to steal her car. Thanks for you help Botany Downs Kindergarten detectives.

Belated Greetings

It was too difficult to put this season's greeting on the blog given the events at the end of term, however we know that we must move on ... and that our children give us purpose in life. So it is that we share this with you now.

Sincere thanks

Helen, her family and the family of Botany Downs kindergarten would like to thank everyone for their kindness and thoughts over the past few weeks. It has been a difficult time. Now, as we move forward it is a time to focus on children ... our very special children. How lucky we are to belong to the community of Botany Downs Kindergarten, such a caring community. Helen will return to work in early February. Until then Althea will be relieving.
