The baby guinea pigs go to a new home

Benji, Archie and Georgia (Niki's children) are now the proud owners of two baby guinea pigs. We hope that you enjoy them as much as we did.

  2. Much loved is an understatement! They are handfed red capsicum, apple, parsley and carrot and are snuggled from morning till night. The children have changed their bedding 3 times already and are inudated with long grass to chew! We all think they are very cute and will keep you updated with photos.

  3. Ooohhhhh - I am going to miss them so much but I bet they will get loads of hugs and cuddles at their new home. Please keep us updated with photo's and let us know what they get up to! Do they have new names yet?

  4. Do you know that I took their Mum Cookie back to her original home at Mangere Bridge Kindergarten. When we put her in with their guinea pig (who she used to live with) and her babies, Cookie chased them and wouldn't let them into their house. It was so bad that I had to bring her home again! She looked so happy to be back in with Moustache. Oh dear!

  5. Not so good for Mangere Bridge, but lovely for us.....! So will Coke be living there from now on?

  6. Just an update on the babies! Yes they have new names. One is "Panda" and the other is "Stripe". They are getting so much love that yesterday they spent quite a bit of time wrapped in a blanket (pink) and pushed around in the pram. Today they played on the grass and even had a little run (caused me MUCH stress!) and loved it and are now tucked up in another clean bed!
By the way, at the working bee today Georgia told me that she thought Cookie looked pregnant???

  7. I had a close look at Cookie today and she does look fat!!! Perhaps I need to do some counting to see when she might be due. As for Coke, our boy who is living at Mangere Bridge, he is living a quiet life on his own as they don't want more babies. We will have to look at what we can do.
