Paying tribute to Logan at kindergarten
Thank you to the children and their families for making this morning's tribute to Logan so special. It was ... mat time for Logan.
We looked at photos of Logan at work at kindergarten.
We read Logan's favourite story 'Peanut Butter Rhino'
We sang ...
I had a little turtle ... his name is Franklin
Marmite and cheese
Four hugs a day
I am a pizza
Octopus
Looking for dracula
Then we invited children to come forward and toss their pottle of sand onto Logan's picture led by his wonderful big sister Sophie and his best friend Caden.
A big thank you to Logan's family for sharing this occasion with us.

Bronwyn, Kerry, Helen, Karen, student teachers: you wonderful, dear, sensitive professioinals created an environment this morning where those most anxious felt warmed, those most at ease felt supportive and useful, and, those most affected by grief felt loved. Your sadness has not gone unnoticed, and your strength is amazing. BDK is truly a magical place. Thank you. And more than four hugs to you.
ReplyDeleteThe tribute this morning was just wonderful, so perfect for Logan. In such a time of great sadness it was nice to hear laughter from the children when they recall the happy times with their friend Logan. Mia and Chloe have loved wearing their special Logan badges today and have now taken them off and put them next to their beds. Thank you all at BDK xxx
ReplyDeleteTo the wonderful team and BDK and Kirsten, Dean, Sophie, Dylan and family.
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for such a beautiful tribute to Logan this morning. What a wonderful way to remember all the fun, happy times he had at kindy.
Holly loved Mat Time for Logan, especially singing all of his favourite songs. She said her favourite is “the fish one because there is a big burp at the end and that’s funny!”
Holly also said “I wish Logan didn’t die… I wish no-one would”. I certainly agree with her.
I’m not sure if Gabbi remembers how kind and encouraging Logan was with her but she sure liked looking at his gorgeous smiling face on the special Logan badge… That smile could capture a million hearts… infact, I’m sure it did.
Lots of love to you all xx
Karlie, Vince, Holly & Gabbi Stephney

Emma was glad to be able to say goodbye to Logan with all the other children.Thank you BDK for a very special morning that allowed the children to say goodbye to Logan in a very unique way, allowing them to remember Logan as the wonderful person that he was....Emma says that Logan is now a shining star in the sky and that whenever she misses him, she only has to look up to see him shining down and watching over us all.
