Making and selling dog shaped biscuits to raise money for Guide Dogs

Three children on a swing seat

The children were so excited when Veronique's family gifted us this swing seat.  It has become the most popular thing at kindergarten.  They really like the fact that it has seat belts.  Ila, Lia and Michaela take time out for a chat and swing.

A last visit from Tina, the Librarian

Over the years we have had many, many visits from Tina, the librarian at Highland Park Kindergarten. However, the visit today is to be her last. Tina, we thank you for you input over the years and wish you well for the future.

The Ghostbusters ride again

A couple of years ago there was a strong interest in Ghostbusters that lasted over six months. Every so often the interest rises again. Mason and Teddy made a Ghostbuster pack and set off on a ghost finding mission.

Puppet time in early childhood

The children have developed an interest in making their own finger puppets and then writing, narrating and producing their own puppet shows. A great way to build literacy at Botany Downs Kindergarten

Hiding during a game of Hide and Seek

A different way of making LOOM BRACELETS

After a week of intense interest in making LOOM BRACELETS Mason arrived at kindergarten with a different way of making LOOM BRACELETS. He said he needed two pencils. He immediately popped the rubber bands on and proceeded to lift each band over the other using his fingers. He said that his sister had shown him how to do it - and it is much easier. Thanks for sharing your skills Mason.

Making our very own library browsers

Every Friday morning we go to the library at Botany Downs School. At the library we have been borrowing the school's browsers to put in the space when we take a book out ... so we know exactly where to put the book back. There have been challenges finding the browser as they are all similar and not personalised ... so. we decided to make our own browsers with our name and photo on decorated with stickers that we had chosen. We look forward to taking them to the library on Friday to try them out.
